Training tomorrow’sNative ministry leaders todayMy Dad, Herman Williams, entered Mokahum Indian Bible School in the 1950’s. He grew up on the Navajo reservation and came to faith in Christ while working as a farmhand. He was eager to study the Bible, but didn’t know how to read or write.Dr. Keith Bailey, principal of the school, invited Dad to come to Mokahum, saying, “Herman, come just the way you are.” Over the next few years, Dad learned to read by studying the Bible one verse at a time. He went on to become a pastor and for a while served as the director of Mokahum. He influenced countless lives for Christ until he went to be with the Lord in 2009.Recently the Christian and Missionary Alliance gave the Mokahum property - closed since the 1970s - to Oak Hills Center for Indian Ministries. The renamed Mokahum Ministry Center is once again a residential Bible training facility. One thing that hasn’t changed is that we are committed to training tomorrow’s Native ministry leaders today. At Mokahum you will receive a high-quality biblical education, relevant ministry training, and life-changing character formation. You will learn from Native ministry leaders and other veteran believers, develop your gifts in a local church, and build lifelong friendships.if you have a personal relationship with Christ, I invite you to consider being a student at Mokahum. Come just the way you are, and see what the Lord does in your life.Zane WilliamsDirector, Oak Hills Center for Indian MinistriesCopyright 2011 | Mokahum Ministry CenterAn outreach of Oak Hills Center for Indian Ministries1600 Oak Hills Rd.
